- B2710 FEL with a 72 inch mid mount mower and teltrax canopy
Ran into a problem the other day while my son was mowing the field. Said he heard a snap and then the mower would not raise and the connecting rod was bent up and dragging on the ground. As you can see from the attachment, the connecting rod pulled through the mower lift arm bracket (Note the size of the connecting pin). Ordered a new bracket and connecting rod from Modern Equipment in Tenn. and had them in 2 days. What caused this was the connecting rods were too tight and the mower was topping out on the stops and causing undue stress and wear on the on the lift arm and connecting pin.
For those of you that have the 72" mid mount mower it is very important to check and adjust the mower per the manual so as not to wind up with this situation.
