As long as you have it off..have a buddy braze it..
Idk if getting the electric pump working solved your original problem or not..??
If not and u have a 3 piece filter set up..filter head, filter, bottom bowl..
The top oring MUST BE SET up in the groove of the filter head .. NOT ON the filter.!! It fits perfectly ON the filter..BUT that’s NOT where it goes.. if it’s ON the filter it will chock off the fuel..

Somebody added that electric fuel pump. It didn’t come from the factory like that.

Last year on my 1998 MF 231, the little nylon fuel filter came off the fuel valve petcock inside the tank and rust stopped up the fuel supply line. I ordered a new nylon fuel filter and a new manual lift pump. Problem solved. My tractor sat in the woods at my buddy’s deer food plot for about 5 days and I didn’t like that at all.
