We replaced the rear seal and is still leaking, pulled it back apart took the flywheel off and the seal was dry but in looks like the flang that the flywheel bolts onto is pressed onto the crankshaft and apears to be leaking there,is that possible and can that be fixed without pulling the crank?I was wandering if I cut a piece of shim stock to cover the whole flange, put a little sealer on it and bolt the flywheel back on if that would work?

Did the old seal score/groove the crank? If so you need to sleeve the crank. If the seal is before the flange, I don't see how the seal can't be leaking.

The flange is not pressed on but is part of the crankshaft. It was all turned from the same billet.
Are you sure it is engine oil and not hyd oil leaking out of the input shaft?

When the perkins AD152 engine appears to be leaking oil around the rear main it is almost always the oil pan gasket. There is a cork gasket that seals the back of the oil pan. Over time it will harden and leak just like a rear main seal would.
