Mf 675 draft controll spring adjustment, some years ago when using winch behind tractor, the clevis was ripped of the plunger and destroyed all threads. So i had to change out these parts. After this 3 point hitch has been weak, not willing to lift what it before lifted. I read yesterday a forum thread someone with same problem had created, they tried removing top link. And using a strap instead, tied somplace else. It went up, no problems, but attaching top link, it wont move. This i tried, same with my tractor, but If i go outside helping the attachment up it goes up.
So trying to adjust this spring. Have removed pin and adjusted clevis so i can turn spring by hand. No i should adjust nut to remove end play. What is end play? Im from norway and maybe im not understanding it correct, when tightening all the way in. Still i can move the clevis around a bit, up down and to the sides. Is this end play? Or when tightening, is it to when i cant move it in and out anymore. At one point it hitting this spring loaded tap inside housing, then i can push it in and it comes out again, or should i tight this to the point that the tap wont move anymore?
