MF 6180 pto/transmission/sensor problems

1997 6180 sheared off pto sensor tonite.Always leaked oil from pto flange,change large o-ring watched leak still appear.Put a magnet into bottom back of pto case and pulled up a 2.5 inch diameter steel casting plug that was hidden behind drawbar support frame. Oil leak was probably from that plug all this time,until it fell out into the transmission,or maybe sat on the bottom for a long time.Was going up a steep hill with pto on when it sheared the sensor.The plug got caught up in the gears of the pto inside then fell back to the bottom.Any one else has this problem?Got the plug out but some of the sensor,plastic part,not magnet,is in the bottom in the oil Thx
