MF 230
I am wanting to add auxiliary hydraulics to my MF 230 tractor. I plan on adding two or three rear remotes and possibly and most likely a front end loader. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to do this or give me a link to a thread explainging this. I mainly need to know if i need to add a auxiliary pump to the tractor, and if I do how would i do this? thanks and sorry for the long winded post

The 240 as 8.6 GPM flow, so the 230 should be similar. You probably don't need an aux pump.

Find the loader that fits your tractor, and mount the valve where it is reachable.

You take the pump OUT hose and connect it to the IN port of the loader valve, and then connect the 4 work port hoses to the loader cyl's. The OUT port from the loader valve will go to tank. The PB hose will connect to your new 3 or 4 spool remote valve IN port. Add QD's to the work ports. The OUT port hose connects to the tank line.

The PB from the remote will go to the 3pt IN hose/connection.

So now, you have a series connection from pump to tank.

You will need to check/set the relief pressure on the loader valve and 3pt valve by using a pressure gage.
