I have a project. We have a 135 that sat for several years we are trying to get running again. It had been used daily up til the time the owner got sick. We have drained and refilled the gas tank cleaned out the sediment bowl. Rebuilt the carb. Replaced all ignition wires, cap rotor, points and plugs, had to replace coil and ignition switch. We now have spark and clean fuel. Tractor rolls fine you can smell gas but no joy.

What are we missing?

Spark and fuel should run, but you already know that. Could you possibly have the sparkplug wires mixed up and on the wrong cylinders? On mine with perkins engine the wire on distributer @ 11 oclock position goes to #1 cyl, 3 oclock goes to #3 cyl, and wire @ 7 oclock goes to number 2 cyl.

You also may try advancing or retarding the timing a little by rotating the distributer back and forth.

Are you sure you're getting fuel and spark? Check at the plug for a good spark and cylinders for fuel with a plug removed. Also, and don't be insulted because I've forgotten it myself, is the fuel shut-off open or closed.

Make sure the initial timing is correct and the firing order is correct.

Crossed plug wires, timing is out of adjustment. Sticking carb float valve. Leaks in the carb seals. Contaminated, misadjusted and/or damaged jets.

Good luck.
