tach on my 1240 quit. Is it possible to remove metal cover that's between the steering wheel and the engine soas to gain access to rear of instrument panel without disconnecting the wiring to ignition? I have removed all the screws and bolts holding the instrument panel and the above mentioned metal covering. Thanks for any help. Cork
