The Gemini-3 is completely different than standard metal detectors. It doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference between different types of targets. On a standard detector, you can quickly learn to tell the difference between iron and other metals by the sound of the beeps. I'm not sure how this one would work.

I have been into the metal detecting hobby for many years and use Fisher brand with great success. I also have my wife using them.

This is a great hobby that will get you outdoors and have a great time. There are many clubs that have outings and meeting great people.
