5035, 5530, 6530 4WD

I've never used a FEL before, so I'm sure any slowness is going to be due to the one in the driver's seat

Do I want/need the FEL? Yes, but I'm not going to need speed there.

Still leaning toward the 5035 HST. With the cat 2 links I think it'll do everything I need and then some.

I will price a 5530 just to see what, if any difference is there.

The HST really shines when you throw a set of QA forks on the FEL. Gives you an easily controlable finely tuned fork truck... able to do all kinds of 'Millwright' type moving jobs around the homestead.... I think I have used the forks more than the bucket on mine...

FWIW----A big reason I went with a 5035 vs. a 30 series was that the 35 series have extendable/telescoping side links (3 pt hitch) and the -30's are solid.
SOOOOoooooo much easier to hook up implements!!!!

If you're deciding between the 5530 and the 6530 and you want/need rear remotes, you might as well go ahead and purchase the 6530, because dual reamotes are standard with it, which is not the case with the 5530. In terms of price (at least here in Texas), you can buy, if you shop, the 6530 with Mahindra financing for $28k (cash $26k) and the 5530, with financing for $26k (cash $24k), but to add remotes to the 5530, you're going to pay about a $1,000 extra. So bottom line, the 5530 would cost you about $27k (financed), when you could pick up the 6530 for $28k. For just a thousand more, you get the 65 HP, 57 HP PTO, and the dual remotes, not to mention 5 inches more length and 2 inches more width to the tractor itself.
