These are photos I took this morning on the river We've had 9 to twelve inches of rain in the last 36 hrs.

#2 This water is actually flowing over a 15 to 20 ft dam, normally 8 to 10 ft of the dam is visible

Surely feel sorry for all those who are suffering damage. It must be terrible for them.

Picture two is a killer, may not realize it, but it is.

Why so many people end up dead on the river.

LONG time ago considered a "pretty good kayaker" , pic was taken of me (you can see my paddle and helmet "out" of the water) in Idaho on a "flood" day, highest the "creek" was in 50 years, per the marine biologist living there at the time.

People don't realize the power of water.

Depending on the CFS, over 3000lbs per sq. inch of pressure.
