Melting Hood Problem

Did Cub Cadet fix the "Melting Hood" problem? Just Curious

Yea, problem was solved in late '06.

Not all the hood problems were solved. I ran my new 2544 for less than 45 minutes and the four brass threaded nuts that are molded into the hood to mount it, broke out and the back of the hood popped up. Nice! I'll get it replaced, but I'm hoping this isn't a problem that will happen again and again.

That's not the melting hood problem the OP mentioned. That's a problem with overtightening at the factory, and is also well known about.
