Check where the valve stems are.
If they are on the outside like normal, it is in the
narrow setting.
If the valve stems are towards the inside of the tractor,
they are in the wider setting.
Not that this is 100% proof positive, but it is a pretty
good indicator.
With the valve stems to the inside, you will gain about
3/4 of an inch to an inch on each side.

Is 3/4" really enough to make a difference though?

I tried to measure the depth of my rims freehand (outside of tires to center of the rim) and could not even see a difference.. so I didnt give it anothter thought of switching them

I have a 2520 and I think the wheels are close to the same. Yes, it does make a difference.
If you need to make the change, jack up the rear end. Set jack stands under each wheel. Pull the wheels off. Take the right side wheel and put on the left side with the valve stem to the inside, and the left side wheel to the right side.
You won't notice a lot of difference, but where I noticed the improvement, was in using the 3ph. With the standard configuration, my rear tires would rub the 3ph lift arms. When I changed the wheels around, I have enough clearance that the tires do not rub.
