May have blown a head gasket?

Yesterday I was pushing my mid 70's case 580 b ck too hard in the mud. The temp went up and a good amt of antifreeze came shooting out of the overflow tube that is connected to the fill neck. The machine cooled down I replaced some of the antifreeze, and ran it lightly for about another half hour with no issues. The temp held at around 180. I talked to someone today who told me to start the machine with the radiator cap off to see if there was any violent bubbling, that would tell me id i had a blown gasket or worse a cracked block. tonight when i got home I did just that, but i noticed i have an slight oil leak now from under the radiator (not the radiator) but from underneath. I ran the machine for about an hour. light work...it never overheated. I guess it's time to learn how to take the hood off and diagnose the oil leak. If anyone can give me some advice on what to look for i would appreciate it.

You'll probably be able to see more pulling the grill, to look under the radiator. And/or at least put a trouble light down there to shine, and look in from the top with the hood off. Hyd. pump is there with your large pressure and feed lines.

I do recall when ordering a new radiator for my 480C, there was a listing for one with oil cooler lines, and one w/o. Not sure what was available on the 580B. Guess you could check through Case Construction Parts online.

ya know i was just out there looking again and what you said makes sense... i think it may be leaking hydro fluid from either the pump or the lines...i know the previous owner replaced the pump, and when i just checked it it looked more like hydro fluid than oil...(forgive me i'm not a mechanic)...for all i know it's been leaking since i own it...and it's only a few drops...i'm going to pull the grill this weekend and check...
