Maximum pressure Oil Pressure Guage

I am having a problem with the Oil Pressure Guage on my 4530. It is pegging
to the maximum far right when running or even just when the key is turned on but not running. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Either the sensor is bad or the wire from the sensor to the guage is grounding out somewhere.

Thanks Galen. My service manual does not tell me where the sensor is
or how to identify it. I am guessing it is the cylindrical shaped unit
about the size of a ring box with a single green wire attached to it.
Is this correct? Also, I removed the insturment panel and cleaned
everything and reassured the connections, then tightend the screws
for the insturment panel.

I should add that it is on the right side (as I'm sitting on the tractor) about midway up the engine block and a little forward of the brake pedals.

That should be correct. It should be near the oil filter.

I bet it works on resistance of the circuit. Look for a chewed wire, or an oil leak on the sender.Jy.

OK, thank you Galen and JY. I beleive it is close to the
oil filter. I will check it tomorrow.
