I have a Kubota B2650 and a landpride finish mower 60". This is my first real tractor so I'm having a hard time adjusting to the front wheels being several inches narrower than the cutting path. Does any one have any tips/tricks to help me out.

Thanks

Is the problem that you want to use the marks made by the wheels to gage the next pass?

It just takes practice. When you are driving look forward at the edge of your last pass of the cut edge and then look at the edge of your hood on that side. Figure out the distance between the two that gives you the optimum width of cut from your mower with only an inch or two of overlap. Memorize the distance between the two and use that to gauge your overlap. Try to keep your lines as straight as possible for a good finished look. If you make a mistake and your line has a curve or two, on your next pass compensate for it by overlapping a little more than usual. That is all there is to it. It takes practice and concentration to maintain a straight line. It is skill that is learned and you can spend a lifetime honing it. Good luck.

Find a reference point that will maximize your coverage. Perhaps it will be having your front tire 4" inches on the uncut grass-something like that. With my B2620 and my mower, I keep the front wheel just nicely on the uncut grass. That gives me something like 56" of cutting from my 60" RFM.

I have a 60" finishing mower behind my L2501 and I just keep the right front tractor tire right outside the cut that I just made, when making another pass and this works perfect.
