I'm glad you got it going again! I have been following this thread, figuring my Mahindra probably shares similar design and components.
Such situations are an education for me, my early exposure to diesels was back in the day of mechanical injection pumps, a knop to pull to shut off fuel when time to shut down the engine. That was long before EPA got involved and common rail systems became the norm. This forum is a great resource. This place indeed rocks!

Your max 26xl has either a glo plug timer or there is something built into the circuitry which acts as a timer. Otherwise, how does the indicator light go out?

This isn't my Thread but thank you to whom ever posted about the Safety Switch on the PTO.

My Max28 got parked and wouldn't start the next day.

Thought it was the battery because the headlights wouldn't even work.

I read about the PTO Safety Switch and ran out the Tractor to check it out... Bingo/Bango,it was the Shift Lever was just moved enough to disengage the safety switch.

THANK YOU, I was about to hire someone at $110/hr now I'm back to driving the Max.

Too bad I am too late. I am having an issue with mine MAX24 HST pulling too much current and popping the ETR 10 amp fuse (15 too that I tried in its place). Intermittent so I have to trace out where the shorting is.

BUT...I could have made your life a little easier bu telling you that your original symptons are exactly what you see when that 10 amp ETR fuse blows. Your tractor could be running and them simply quit. Lights still all work but NOTHING when you try to restart the tractor. No clicking or anything. Glow plug light etc all still work. Those are the symptons of a blown 10amp ETR fuse in the small fuse panel on the ride side of the firewall.
