Hi all, I have a max 26 with the three cylinder Mitsubishi motor. After last winter I definitely want to install a block heater. Has anyone done this? I'm looking for a part number and an area to install... Pictures get bonus points! Lol. Tia

I have looked at this before and there are a couple of suppliers that say they make them to fit in one of the rear freeze plugs but never pulled the trigger. Mahindra has them but very expensive.
After I changed the way I start the tractor, I get pretty smooth starts even when it’s cold so I stopped my search. My tractor has the same engine as you.

Not sure what will happen in the cold weather now, but I just put new cable clamps on and cleaned the ground. Starts much easier now... maybe that was the issue....? How did you change the way you started yours?

Also check the connection to the glow plug buss bar Known issue with these. There are a number of threads on this. Check voltage on the buss to make sure you’re get around 10 volts when the plugs are on . I replaced mine with a ring terminal.
The Mahnindra manual say to put the throttle at idle hit the glow plug and start. The MHI manual (oem) says to crank throttle wide open, hit the plugs start the engine and throttle down. Below is a thread on it.
