My name is Bill and I own a massey 231. I bought My tractor new back in 1991. I had a new clutch put in about a year ago when the hub seperated from the hub. Since then then, I am having trouble with the lift. It raises great but takes forever to go down even with a 6ft bushhog on it. Naturally the Massey dealer that installed the clutch went out of business.I am getting ready to trade My tractor for a 240 with a bushhog loader and only 610hrs. I hope I have better luck this time. I sure am glad that I came across this Forum. I only wish it was sooner. This will be my third one. (should have kept My 135)

What part of the country u from. Can u work on the tractor urself. If so I could help and send a break down of the 3pt lift. It will prob have to come off but u might get lucky and fix it threw the side panel. If I can help in anyway just pm me and I would be glad to help.
