Hello everyone, I replaced a fuel filter on my MF 231 and put in the new "O" rings, and can not get the filter to quit leaking at the top, and at the glass base. Anybody have any suggestions? THANKS!

First thought is did you lube the O-rings with a touch of fuel? Next question...if this is a filter canister (like an oil filter), did you over tighten it?

I have never liked working with the "glass bowls", it is very hard to get them not to leak.
Follow Roy's instructions,(every millimeter of)the seal must be saturated with fuel, otherwise.......the one dry spot will hang up and twist out of place(causing leaks).

First there should have been 3 orings n the box. 2 are diff sizes make shure u put the right one in the right spot and it won't leak. I sell a convertion kit that will replace the glass bowl with a screw on filter and makes it a lot easier change.

Thanks everyone. Returned the filter to the parts house, and seems there was a defect. New one sealed right up. Now if I can only get the air out of the pump we'll be back to work. Thanks again!
