Massey mf 205

So I just acquired a Massey Ferguson mf205 I was told it ran hot so I tore it down to find the head is pitted to bad to be machined but the bottom end of the engine looks good other than it needs rings I’m only $400 deep in the tractor but if I would’ve known how hard toyosha parts were to come by I wouldn’t have jumped into this project curious if anyone had any advice on a cheaper parts supplier or maybe if anyone done a affordable engine swap

I'm assuming this is the MF205 compact 2cyl 20hp gray market tractor from the late 70s early 80s and not the 205 industrial.
The block coolant drain plug on the right side of the tractor was made of plastic and cracks/breaks/leaks and should be swapped for a steel or brass plug.
Try Southern Global for parts -search by the engine code on top of the valve cover or call them. They have a lot of parts that are not listed online as well as a number of salvage tractors and the motor was put in several different models including an Allis Chalmers & others. They may have a used head they can sell you.
