Massey Ferguson Transmission Filter Screen?

MF 5465 has a dash light that comes on just as soon as the tranny warms up. According to the operator's manual it says something about a 15 micron transmission screen/filter may be blocked. Any idea where or what this may be?

Also trying to figure out what trouble code 14 is. Anybody?

Don't know about the 5645, but my teensy 2310 has a filter screen in the suction side of the hydraulic system which is located behind the left rear wheel and is accessed by a large nut on the cap. (This is in addition to the hydraulic filter.)

I'll bet yours has something similar. Here are a couple pics of mine: I'm holding the tube-shaped screen by the nut end that unscrews in one pic; in the other, you can see the hole where it came out of the tractor in the background, directly behind the tip of the magnet rod I stuck in to collect metal particles. Hope this helps.

BTW, have you ever seen a list of MF error codes and description? I cannot seem to find them anywhere online.

"a list of MF error codes" Nope, can't help you there. My 2310 is too small (and likely too early) for all the electronic jazz. You should try to order a factory service manual from a local dealer (or direct from the factory, for that matter). They're not cheap, but will pay for themselves very quickly.

Looks like your 5465 has a Finnish-made diesel; that should be a very well-made engine. Your PTO HP is over 5 times what mine has!

There are actually 2 different diesel for the 5465. They changed in 2008 from 6.0L Perkins to 6.6L Perkins. But it seems like I recall something about a Sisu diesel as well.
