I don't think it was stolen in 1941, it had a "Ferguson System" tag on the grill just below the Ford emblem suggesting royalties were being paid. Somewhere between the 9N and the 8N Henry shafted Harry and Mr. Ferguson started making tractors visually very similar to the 8N. Still American made though.

Henry senior didn't it was his son that didn't make good on the deal. Back in those days people did business on a handshake and it wasn't uncommon to do business without a formal contract to be written.

My stepfather bought a low hour 231 with a 232 loader years ago. Tag on it says made in Poland by Ursus. If I remember correctly.
