Hello,
I'm having a big problem with my hydraulics. I replaced the hydraulic pump on my MF235 and when I turn the tractor on fluid is pumped and the rear arms raise (but don't lower). The valve (TS300?) which controls my front end loader doesn't send any fluid to the loader. I drained some oil and opened the side cover. I had installed the roller in the pumps control valve but the spiral like lever attached to the cover was to the right of the roller. I'm assuming that this spiral lever is supposed to move and be to the left of the roller attached to the pump. When I removed the roller and manually pushed the pump control valve to the right, the pressure was relieved and the rear arms dropped. I think the pump is working OK. The spiral control lever attached to the cover is stuck (in the far open position)This lever is stuck so far to the left that the spring containing rod from the Raise/Lower control on the outside of the top cover doesn't move far enough to touch the lever and cause the pump to release the fluid...How do I unfreeze the spiral lever? Did something else break?

Sorry about my incorrect terms...I'm not sure what the parts are called.
Thanks for any help!!

Get a workshop manual and do an basic adjustment, it's not much work to lift of the hydraulic cover and check and adjust the mechanism.
