I have a 1215 with about 260 hours on it. I noticed a lot of black dust (looks like graphite dust) on the outside of the front left wheel and I don't understand where it is coming from. I jacked up the front of the tractor and that wheel is dragging. The right front does not drag. It must be something simple but before I call the dealer or take anything apart tell me what is going on.

Have you kept it properly greased? Sounds like the wheel bearing has failed. Shouldn't be too difficult to pull the wheel and check the bearing.

I agree! Sounds like you might want to check the bearing. Is your tractor MFWD? For god sakes don't screw up that spindle. You'll pass out if you check the price on a new one. agco thinks quite a bit of those things and that tractor is hard to impossible to find in salvage. I know, I just had to replace the spindle on my 1233. Check out their web site though. You can find everything for your tractor. You'll have to order through a dealer and make sure you're sitting down when you get the prices! They are really high.
