Hi,
Can anyone help me locate a workshop manual for the 178 Massey with the 248 cu perkins, in Australia ? I am able to see ones for the 175 ,but think they will have a slightly smaller engine? Thanks

The MF 178 was produced in Great Britain. AGCO does not list a workshop manual specifically for the MF 178, but they do list a parts book for MF 175/178 (GBR). You can view it online @ AgcoPartsBooks.com (choose "United Kingdom" as country and search for "178"). The MF 178 (GBR) parts book shows both the Perkins A4.236 and A4.248 engines for the 178. I have seen MF 165/175/178 service manual (reprints) for sale on www.ebay.co.uk. I think I would try that. Good luck.

Did you ever find a manual for your 178 ?
I'm also looking for one. Found one online in the UK for 68 pounds, but don't want to spend that much money.
