Loosen your fuel cap 1-1/2 or 2 turns and put a piece of tape across to keep it there. Run it hard like that and let us know if there's any change.

KJ, I read every page and every detail and my 2860 with 150 hours on it behaves just like yours, exactly. It’s really frustrating and I called AGCO since my dealer is unresponsive to a bunch of calls, they didn’t even bother to call back.

After that call to AGCO the dealer did an about face and wants to help, they said they are seeing several of these models with pinched fuel lines due to poor routing from the factory. I’ll know more in 2 weeks when they show up. I’m glad I found your post!

I thought it was heat related too but I have 2 bars left on the top of the gauge and have never seen a temp light come on, I did almost everything you did and it still goes lame in 30 minutes. Bush hogging took 6 hours when I can get it done in over 2. The A/C can’t keep up and the cab turns into a greenhouse. Not fun.

Hi folks, just to give an update from last year when I had my loss of power issue.

So as you know my dealer changed my 3 injectors last fall. Last week was my annual bush hogging of my fields (first time since the issue) about 5-6 hours straight of pto speed throttle.

Temperature was a bit colder than last year but still a hot sunny day, about 25 °C. Didn't have any loss of power this time despite having to stop halfway throught mowing because engine was overheating. Had to stop to blow all the seeds, pollen and dust that was in radiator and cooler screen everything was fine after that.

I always have the fear of the problem coming back but for this time everything ran fine. Had no issue last winter with the snowblower and logging winch.

The MF tech showed and found a kink in the fuel line. I’m surprised it’s single wall line that is easy to pinch. It ran good for 20 minutes and then got so weak it hardly moves even with the mower switched off. Saga continues.

1735M, same power loss issue, struggled for a long time with trying different things to figure it out. I tried replacing almost everything on the fuel side, thought there is no possible way it could be just the injectors makes no sense its gotta be ECU or something. Mine was so bad when it started acting up it would stall out eventually.

Well I finally decided to try some aftermarket denso injectors anyway (as Massey is ridiculously priced. Low and behold the tractor is fine now. I got a mecanic out after to program the fuel trims , if you DIY take pictures of all the numbers on the injectors makes life easier for them. Also get new copper washers/ gaskets and rubber o rings for them (i did go to massey for those)

Put about 20hr of hard work in with it since with a 6ft bush hog, even got it hot working in the bush with a radiator full of fuzz, and still fine.

The injectors cross to a cat industrial engine as well if you got a caterpillar dealer close by they're quite a bit cheaper than massey also. If you're DIY get some swivel head ratchet wrenches metric ones and have a swear jar handy

Denso 295050-1160
Cat 457-5836
Massey o ring (need 3) 7064870M1
Massey copper gasket / washer (3 again) 7064940M1
Massey Injector line gaskets (need 6) 7064928M1

Good job Brad, I'll keep that in mind since the dealer picked mine up and are going after some "Known issues" with AGCO on a dyno. I'm a few days from the end of my 5 year warranty luckily. I Paid $50k for this tractor thinking it would be worth the money.
