I need help in identifying the hydraulic lines on my MF1734E with a L105E loader. I have attached pic with the lines numbered on joy stick. Do I have a power beyond port?View attachment 648680
You do have PB. There should be letters stamped on the valve.
P=power in. Should be #3 in your picture.
T=tank. Should be #2 in your picture.
C=power beyond. Should be #1 in your picture.
Double check me but I believe that is correct.
Thank You for the info. One other question, would I be able to plumb into the plugged port that is above the line #1 in the picture to pick up the power beyond. I am planning on adding a third function? I am new to hydraulics.
Short answer is no.
I would have to know what valve you are wanting to use in order to help. There is several different options to get 3rd function and it makes a difference on how you connect. What valve are you looking at?
Nearly all CUTS have open center hydraulics. The way that works is the valves are plumbed serially. Until you operate a valve, the flow goes in the in port and out the PB port (or tank port on valves with no PB). When you operate a valve the flow is diverted out the work ports.
The PB on the loader valve should be connected to the 3pt hitch valves. Those are usually inside the transmission, often near the back of the tractor.
Usually when you add a valve it goes in line between the loader valve and the 3pt. So you'd disconnect the hose that goes from the PB port to the 3pt and insert your new valve there. The new valve can be one with a PB port, in which case it's PB port would now feed the 3pt and you'd tee the tank line into the tank line from the loader valve. Or it can be one without a PB port, in which case you'd run its tank port into the 3pt. With those valves you need to read the specs to make sure the tank port is rated for the full system pressure (2200 psi or so). When you operate the 3pt, lines from the pump through all the valves ahead of it in the chain will see the pressure needed to raise the 3pt.
I have not selected one yet. Do you have any recommendations?
