Massey ferguson 1010 hydro , not moving I

Recently purchased a 1987 mf1010 , seemed to work great , then it refused to move when the first snow came and tried the snowplow

First checked and topped up tranny/hyd fluid no change
Then thought maybe plugged or frozen moisture in filters ,I plan on ordering new ones
Upon further investigation I discovered the rear pto shaft us not turning when clutch is engaged
So my thought is that the clutch disc is worn and slipping , not turning pto or hydrostatic transmission

Does this sound plausible?
It also happened after overfilling and spilling diesel fuel down onto trans and engine , I wouldn't think it possible but could it have contaminated the clutch disc

Looking at having to split the tractor in the middle , hoping it's the clutch and not the hydrostatic transmission

Suggestions?

Spilling some fuel onto the clutch housing isn't likely to have much effect on clutch performance, particularly so in that short time frame. A slipping clutch is a good possibility, but what about pedal free play? Has that been checked (and adjusted) lately? Much more likely a problem right there could be involved.

Yup , I didn't really think it was from spillage , it can't he the first time tank was over filled lol

I'm going to get it moved into my tent/shed and over the xmas holidays and have a closer look at the adjustment and other things

Refused to move? Please elaborate/tell us more. Does the engine run? Any noises when you try to move it? Harry has good suggestions above. I have some Kubota B2150s that have a small swinging sheet metal toothed lever about 2 in long whose purpose is to hold the clutch just short of engaging while the engine is running (intended for some obscure maintenance activity I later found out.) I was worse than embarrassed and considering all sorts of drastic measures until I found that little clutch defeating devil. It amounted to a catch which made you think you had let out fully on the clutch but you really had not. No idea if other tractors have such a thing.

Thanks , the engine runs flawlessly but there is no engagement in clutch

I checked free play and even tried it with linkage removed to give it the maximum amount of clutch engagement
It doesn't turn the pto shaft or the hydrostatic transmission

I still don't have it inside under cover yet so haven't tried removing any sheet metal or acess covers but it really feels like the clutch is not engaging at all

Sounds as if a split is in the near future. Not a pleasant experience this time of year when done outdoors in snow country.

Yup I've resolved myself to that solution and have been looking at parts online
I have a 10x10tent/shed that I can put it in after moving some motorcycles , and will invest in a buddy heater

A heater will help, but what you really need is a floor. A couple sheets of plywood will work for a tractor that size. I've done that many times.

Yup definitely will be putting a sheet or two of plywood down , it's a crushed stone floor so need it for my floor jack to roll and axle stands from sinking
Have to move a couple of motorcycles to get it inside , my suzuki 1500cc intruder isn't going to move easily across the snow covered yard
