massey 85 gas tank

My massey 85's gas tank seems to have rust in it. it will plug the fuel line ahead of the gas bowl, to the point that i need to run the choke out more and more until it quits. i can then blow back in the tank and clear the blockage and it will be ok for a little while but will happen again. what can i do.

Remove the tank and clean. You can do this yourself by putting sharp edged stones in it, and turning repeatedly, then flush it out. Repeat as necessary... If you have a local radiator shop, most will clean/repair gas tanks.

Some use sealers, some not. If you keep the tank pretty well full after a good cleaning, and use clean fuel, it should be alright.
