Massey 1145 crankshaft needed

We took in trade a Massey 1145 with a busted crankshaft. I believe this is an Iseki built tractor. Massey no longer can get a crankshaft. Any ideas on where to get one? If we can't we may part it out, too bad as it is a fairly nice machine. Has anyone just repowered one with a different engine with any success? Thanks, Dave

I'll give that a try, might as well exhaust all resources for a new crank before we take more drastic measures.

try a 1440 massey should be same motor as 1145 or agco unde challenger line as they rebranded many of them crankshaft break rare as they were very durable a good machine shop can weld and return it to a good part trick is need to find a very good shop not a run of the mill one

We have a great contact in Japan, and they contacted Iseki and the part is not available through them. That makes sense, because if they had it, they would surely sell it to Massey. Looked for a used crank or engine, and no luck either.

We will check into the crankshaft repair option. If that doesn't pan out, we will have no choice but to part the tractor out, or repower it with a different engine.

If any of you guys have further ideas, we are open to suggestions.

This is a 1992 tractor, it's not an antique. And it is a Massey, not some obscure brand. I am surprised we can't get a major engine part.

I wonder also. 1992 is fairly modern in tractor years. Does Iseki still build the compact Massey Fergusons?

West Kentucky Tractor Parts is a salvage yard for compact tractors. They show that they are dismantling a MF 1145. You might check with them. West Kentucky Tractor Parts - Kevil, Kentucky

I saw a ebay posting for a Iseki E 3AD1 block at Iseki E 3AD 1 BLOCK - eBay (item 380085441193 end time Apr-21-10 16:54:43 PDT)

See if they have a crank in the block. It might save the tractor.

I contacted them the crank sold long ago. Thanks a bunch for watching out for me, let me know if you see anything else.

Meanwhile, if I get a couple of major parts sold first, we will then just part it out. If a crankshaft isn't available, I suspect front axle and transmission parts are rare as well. I might have a little goldmine here.
