Marliss Corn Planter

So I picked up 4 Marliss planter units, 4 fiberglass hoppers and 2 JD toolbars at an auction for $70.00 yesterday. I am planning on building (2) 2 row units for gardens and food plots. These planters use John Deere B style seed plates. My question is has anyone heard of this company? Are there parts still available? It's a pretty basic ground driven design, so I'm sure these thing will be similar to the JD 70 and 71 units....Any input would be helpful before I start the build.

Marliss was actually bought by Sukup... it's a similar style to the JD 71 but different bottoms. They are ground driven at the press wheel and have a gauge wheel in the front. I have enough parts to make at least one 2 row and maybe if I can find some universal parts I can build 2. I need the diamond/square toolbar to mount them to a 3pt hitch.

IIRC its a 3" square pipe. I've got some plates and a couple of hoppers off of a john Deere planter. Post a couple pics of the hopper bottom and the top of planter where hopper sets.

I use to paint parts for them in 78 and all parts were made in house, except nuts and bolts.
