Hey Mowbizz,
I wann know some more about those spacers.
How much were they?
And is there any concern for extrra stress on the driveline?
They look pretty spiffy.

Well I was kinda hoping that he would chime in here so everyone can get the info. I can't find where he has ever even mentioned them on here before. They certainly aren't anywhere on his website.

Looks just like my Markham toothbar. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet; but I expect to this summer.

Hey Bernie,

In another thread I wrote that about a week ago I installed the BroTek spacers also. The price listed is $260, but if bought in combo with another item they are cheaper. I bought the ripper tooth also and Richard charged me $220 for the spacers.
The spacers are machined and very light, so they don't add extra weight to the axle. They space the tires to the outside about 2 inches each side, for a total of about 4 inches in stance. Doesn't sound like a whole lot, but it does make a noticable difference in stability.
I also am no engineer, but my feelings are that they do not stress the axle in any great way. I would think adding wheel weights would do this more and my dealer installed weights when I bought my BX23. That said, I have noticed that my rear bar tires seem to dig up a little more when turning. I am not sure if I just notice more because the tire sticks out more or if the extra stance makes the wheel turn at a different rate. In any case, it seems a small concession for the extra stability. On the visual aspect, I think they look great and make the tractor look beefier.

They sure sound good.
I have SOME flat spots around here but they aren't big enough to park my tractor on:D:D

I ordered a rear set and had Richard fabricate a front set also, though not quite as wide. They are aluminum and nicely finished - a note of caution though - I found the studs were not pressed fully in & had to redrive all in with a punch prior to mounting them. Prior to install I would get the creeps at about 15 degrees - now the tractor feels more stable. The rear wheels still track inside the FEL. If you have grades to deal with it's good insurance. You can see the wider stance in the pictures.

I like the way you made the ROPS, canopy and front posts fold for passage under low garage doors.

are your tires loaded? By the looks of the front spacer it looks as if it is about 1", and the rear is 2" so the turing radius is probably not really affected right? is there any concern on the added leverage stress that the spacer could cause on the front end and steering componants?
