Markham toothbar and ebay grapple

The total for the grapple was around 1000.00 thats using a wr long valve all parts included. The tooth bar was 280.00 shipped to me.

If you need a quick pass with no teeth just pull the bar forward so as to get the shank notch released from the bucket edge and rotate the bar about the bolts back into the bucket and then you are toothless. Since all the forces on the teeth are taken by the tooth shanks that slip over the cutting edge of the bucket a slot should work.

I have a toothbar like that and I NEVER KNEW that's why it had slots at the mounting points. I guess that's why we never stop learning.

I ordered mine from KC Canary in upstate NY but it was shipped to me direct from the manufacturer in Illinois. I ordered the 'light duty' which is heavier than any task I'll ever tackle with it. I'd hate to see what they call heavy duty. I bought mine through Mark Brucker at KC Canary at 800-920-7097. I paid under $300 delivered at the time and still think it's about the best money I've spent on any attachment or accessory. Now that I know about the slots' use, it's an even BETTER deal.
