Kubota B6100E Kubota L 2501 Kubota T1460
Ok so I read thru my owners manual and I have a few more questions.

It states there is a separate implement manual, the owners manual has little to nothing in it about implements.

At this point I don't know a single thing about connecting/disconnecting/using the one implement I have now never mind what I still need to get a trailer hooked into the back of my Kubota.

Can someone here help with that manual?

Also I received the manuals I show below with tractor but I don't see how any of this pertains to my machine?

Thanks

Good morning - 1930 - and welcome to TBN and the forum. The Kubota you purchased - it was not a brand new tractor, right. I say this because none of the three manual you linked to are OEM tractor manuals. They are manuals produced by a third party. You should go to your local Kubota dealer and get an OEM(original equipment manufacturer) Operator manual for your specific tractor. It should be free or very little cost.

Please recognize - an Operator manual is MUCH different than a service manual. You may be able to get a service manual at the dealer also - probably cost around $50.

OK - your implement. You should be able to get an Op manual for your implement at the local dealership that sells the particular implement. Go on the internet - check to see who your local dealer is for your implement - contact them for an Op manual for that specific implement.

BTW - complete your viewer profile by letting us know where you are located.

Edit note - do not be surprised if you local Kubota dealership can not obtain an OEM Op manual for your tractor. I just checked on Tractor data.com - did not realize the age of your B6100. But - its still worth a call to the dealer - he might be able to find an original.

Further thought - just go ahead here and ask about what you need to know.

First - The manual may be online Kubotabooks.com
Kubota usually puts out 3 manuals for each tractor a WSM - Workshop Manual, a Parts manual, and an operators manual. All 3 are well worth having if you expect to work on your tractor.

Based on the pics in your other thread those manuals or a credit card and a good dealer will be needed.

It's not rocket science, but it's also not sweeping floors.

There are three prime methods of PTO connections, sliding collar, pin and one other.

Here's an older primer https://articles.extension.org/sites/default/files/NSTMOP Task Sheets Section 5 2013.pdf

Study that and Google a bit.
There will be a test when you try and unhook it.

Say what?
What ever you do 1930, don't get rid of the OEM service manuals you have!

First of all, congratulations on your B6100E. Those were nice little tractors & just about indestructible. As to the manuals, I don't know why you got those particular manuals. Yes, they all appear to be genuine Kubota printed manuals and so they have some value in themselves (check on ebay) But of course the B6200 is similar but different from the B6100. To a mechanic those WorkShom Manuals (WSM) are helpful in trouble-shooting and how things bolt together because the design philosophy of the B6200 and B6100 is the same, plus they were successive models. So a mechanic can get a lot out of that B6200 manual that pertains to the B6100. BTW, a Workshop Manual is sometimes called a "Service Manual".

So those manuals aren't useless and even have value. But why three of what appear to be the same manual? That mystifies me. And why not for the B6100? I don't know that either. Weird.

Normally when you bought a new tractor at that time what came with it was an "Operator's Manual". That's what you want. You can probably find one on Ebay.
Most people buying a new tractor back in the 1980s then would also order a copy of the "Workshop Manual" and also the illustrated "Parts Manual". Those came from the dealer and cost roughly $100 each at the time. The Workshop Manual gave specifications and procedures for the mechanic and the manual itself was separated into different chapters for different systems. Your photos show that. The Parts Manual was a numbered series of exploded illustrations showing each part of each system and cross referencing the part in the picture to a part number for ordering that part.

Implements are less likely to be from Kubota. They can be from anyone. But with the exception of belly mowers, all implements hook up the same. That's the beauty of a 3 pt hitch system. That is why implements came with their own Operator's Manual and sometimes with their own combination workshop and parts manual as well.
If you get someone to show you how to hook up your implements you can extend that knowledge to most implements. Again, that's with the exception of belly mowers - which are sort of model specific.
Luck,
rScotty

There is one engine service manual, and one tractor workshop manual. They may be a later model, but will help out. He can get others here if needed Index of Kubotabooks/Tractor Owners Manuals/

I also got a operators manual for L2250 L2550 L2850 L 3250

It would appear that the gentleman that sold me the tractor was not completely honest in that the tractors original owner was a Herbert Cartwright of Palmetto Fl who I believe has passed away. He had a nursery business at one point in Palmetto, he is listed as sole proprietor and as a single employee.

Id like to find out more about him and may do so if I can figure out a way to lengthen my days.
