Mantis 2-cycle rotor tiller priming bulb problem

The priming bulb on my tiller is not working right. When I push the bulb and then release it takes over a full minute to recover and it appears it is not drawing and fuel. Which, of course will not allow me to start the tiller. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

You could try to take the carb apart and clean it ,but the plastic primer pump can't be taken apart.I just tossed mine and bought a new one off Ebay ($10)

You need to replace with new one. You can buy online. Just search around. Fairly common part. Mantis uses Echo 2 stroke engines. A local small engine shop or power equipment dealer should also be easily able to get part.

No, mine is different. On mine you remove our screws that holds a cover over the bulb. But thaks for the try.

Couple of possibilities. Newe models have an air vent line coming out of the tank with a white object at the end. Looks like a filter. Could be plugged. With the gas cap on tight, it won't pass fuel. Older ones have a tank vent. Same issue.

Make sure you have the fuel supply and return lines connected correctly. If they get switched, you'll be sucking air from the tank.
