That's definitely a case of " it no pics, then it didn't happen. :)"

However, sometimes it's better to enjoy the moment than worry about providing documentation for "nonbelievers" ;)

I constantly keep a live trap besides my chicken coop. Even though it has chain link wire the critters manage to get in sometimes. It has been a busy month. Last week I caught 4 coon and 2 possums and this week I caught 2 coon. It would be so much cheaper and easier for me to just buy store-bought eggs.

Just an hour ago on my way back from the barn I saw a kitten coon under my kumquat tree and he ran up the tree as I neared. I grabbed him by the nape of the neck and pulled him out the tree but 2 thorns on the tree ripped my arm and made me drop him. He made it into the woods before I could catch him again.

I even spotted a couple of rabbits in the yard last week. They have been practically non-existent since coyotes moved into the area.

Last week we bought a new Great Pyrenees pup to keep in our goat pen for protection from the coyotes.

It's the middle of Winter down here but I still have a zoo of critters visiting every night. My big "next door neighbour" is a State Forest so I've got a ready supply. Also, unless there's a feral dog around (which there isn't) there are no predators in Tassie other than snakes.

There's a mob of about 10 wallabies that bound across & graze my yard/paddocks. It's funny when one mis-judges a fence as I hear: thump, thump, thump, SPROING, pause, thump, etc... There are several brush-tail possums (cute, cheeky buggers, and they know it), a few potaroos and some bunnies.

I have rarely had to mow the lawn around the house as all of the above keep it neatly trimmed. :)

I think we would call it a rat.

You must have something attracting all those predators. I suspect you may find you or your neighbor has a growing rat population. Last night the moon was small and not up until 6am.

Is the cat getting fatter?
