Cant speak to the Oregon Chains but the Oregon mower blades I've been buying for years switched from making them in the US to Taiwan. Last set Ill buy and probably the last anything Ill buy from Oregon.

Taiwan better grade then China. I have compared them in chainsaw parts.

I don’t disagree with you but that’s not the point. I will go out of my way to not support a company that sells out and moves manufacturing out of the US.

Bean Counters turning a profit selling out…

Investment Groups that see business as nothing more than a line item on the spread sheet.

Not long ago I watched a business interview of a Chinese owner of a manufacturing company say why be mad at me when America gladly sold and I did nothing more than buy what was being offered?

I was so happy to see on my new Nano Oregon chains they do have made in USA on those. Just checked 1 of 5

Think goodness as they are pricey little buggers for tiny chains.

Some of the kit stuff like showed earlier made in China.

ultrarunner beat me to the punch. US capitalism run-amok by Private Equity firms. Pretty much all roads lead to the same end: monopolies.

I don't really go through chains all that much. I just do my own sharpening (by hand). Best chain I've found, of late, has been Husky X-Cut (not because I run Husky saws, which I do, but they've turned out to be very good; and, well, I'll also put out a recommendation for Husky Platinum trimmer line as being the best I've found; not plugging Husky, just the facts). This chain is made in Sweden (as of this writing).

Buy a bulk spool of quality chain in the pitch and drive width you use and buy a spinner and riveter and have ai it. Just buy good ones, not HF ones. Bulk chain will usually come with links and rivets. Don't buy some off brand junk Chinese chain is all I can say. I buy Oregon myself. Bulk chain is on Amascon as well, cheapo stuff and Oregin.
