Not sure if anyone is even interested in this thread, but i have been pulling out the hair thats remaining in my head to try and make some removable brackets for threading the twin 3/4" supply hydraulic hoses to my "quick attach" brand loader mounted snowblower.

The manual just says to zip tie them to loader arm...but i don't think so. i really want the paint to remain for a few years at least.

I pondered long and hard and i think i came up with a good overall plan....ill see if it survives next winters snows.

I drew up and plasma cut some 1/4" stock for support plates and found several places on the loader to install them. I had to thread some 3/8" round rod and heat bend the support brackets. I tried some pre-made round ones, but there was way too much slop in the hoses.

The unit has an electrical driven hand control for chute rotation and deflection. The electric current runs a servo that forces hydraulic fluid to move/deflect the snow. pretty clever design really. Operates very fast.

Routing the hoses around the rear tires and still allowing for rear tire chains was also a chore. i hope this takes care of it. Ive tested it thru full range of motion, and the hoses never touch anything......

the snowblower reaches high enough to snowblow my roof

Wow, quite a set up, nice install ! How wide is that blower ? Looks pretty spendy but should keep your neck from getting sore !

You are going to get spoiled ! There are times the front calls to me but I would feel naked without a bucket up front ! Most of my snow removal is by pickup and 8' blade tractor and blower if it gets ahead of me .

Can't wait till next winter for some video of it in action.

Boy, you know you're getting old when you get tired of driving backwards!!
And now, you've got a cab too!!!

Actually, that is a very impressive job you did hooking up that front blower!!!!
I expect there'll be a lot of TBNers following suit

Thank you.....i tell you, its taken quite abit of work to design a way to do it. I just couldnt do the zip tie thing.

My back has taken a beating over the years...i just couldnt do it anymore

all the brackets are removable, including the inside control. All will be powder coated this week.

So, the PTO drives a hydraulic pump which, in turn drives the blower. And the controller clamps to the loader joystick?
That's a very nice rig!!!

How much PTO HP is required for the PTO pump?

And, if you don't mind me asking, how much did this rig cost you?

BTW, the link in your first post doesn't work...I assume it's supposed to be a link to another thread.

yeiks..im not sure what that link was doing there...i never placed a link in the post. but i removed it. Thank you

This particular pump has a minimum pto HP rating of 30 HP.

The controller is clamped to the joystick and is pistal grip style so i can control the blower with the grip. my hand rests on the rubber cap of the original control. I used some split bolts for easy removal off season.

The blower and powerpack ran $10,335 incl all hoses, electrical , powerpack and blower , quick attach hose ends and hardened skid shoes.

Before i got this unit, i was thinking of getting a 84" rear snowblower, but that ran almost $6,000....and i had to back up

I like your setup and there's not going to be any snowbanks within miles of you that will not tremble with fear. I know when I was looking I couldn't find anything on Kioti's website about a front blower option, did you ever find out if they have the option when you bought your tractor?

RoyJackson,
Nice reply but I noticed you haven't replied to the previous thread in this catagory. How come ??? Your input has always been appreciated.

MT

I can't recall seeing the previous thread, actually.
I enjoy snow removal threads...but since I've no need for a snow blower (150' drive in an area that doesn't normally get that much snow...an occasional blizzard, but mostly less then 10" per snowfall), I don't always follow snow blower threads.
Grsthegreat has done a really nice job in this installation, hasn't he?

Nice thing about this unit is it's a universal fit (as long as you have a tractor capable of handling the blower and hydraulic pump)...doubt Grsthegreat bought it through Kioti (but he'll give the correct answer since he bought it).

It would look real nice on the front on my Deere 4400 (which meets the minumum PTO HP requirements).
