Mahindra price/performance

In my area the only Mahindra dealer told me that they price the Mahindra tractors at the same level as Kubota. Is this the common price level or are they asking too much? I thought that the Mahindras bring higher price/performance ratio. What has been your experience in your area?

Apparently, he feels that he can get this price in your area, in my area I priced both and the Mahindra dealer was consistently below the Kubota dealer when comparing similiar tractors. The Mahindra 4110 in my area $18,500 (price was 7 months ago) for a 41 hp with FEL

I called about Mahindra and Kubota pricing last week. The Mahindra was priced at $18,500 and the Kubota L4340, which is Kubota's most similar model to the 4110, was priced about $4000 higher, but the difference could be greater as options would be added that are on the 4110.

My local Kubota dealer used to sell Mahindra tractors. However a couple of years ago Kubota came out with a no freels line, your basic tractor, no fru fur stuff. When this happened he dropped the Mahindra line due to the little if any difference in the price of the two tractors, he said too may people chose the Kubota over the Hindra. He does however still agree that Hindra is one **** of a tractor, and has a weight advantage over Botas.

In this area you will pay more for a comparable Kub.

Put it this way, I got 6 more HP for 500 more dollars by going Mahindra. Very comparable machines.

The Mahindra has lots of goodies that are standard that are either unavailable on the L3800 and L4400, or add heap big bucks to the price of the tractors.
