Looks good. They should bring one like the one pictured with the manual though.

Interesting crew cab. No pillar between the front and rear door. Would certainly make entry and exit easier. Wonder if it was just missing for the photo? Almost has to be.

check the last picture. there clearly is a b pillar, as that is what is holding the seatbelt.

i believe it should tow5/6k lbs

My Titan does not have a pillar either. The front seat belt is attached to the rear door. I really like that plus the door folds all the way back about 170deg toward the bed. Makes loading kids and bags easy in a parking lot. That door is the thing I hate about my Ford Super Dutys.

From the position of the handles in the upper pic and the position of the latch on the lowest pic I think the door is going to hinge off of the pillar and that is was removed for the pics. I sure wish my wifes extended cab F150 open up differently. No pillarm but the front door goes so far back it is a pain to put groceries ect in the back seat if there is not room to keep the front door open. It will be interesting to see one in person anyway though I don't see myself rushing out to buy one right off.

Thats what i was thinking. Too bad they couldnt incorporate a cab like the honda element in the design, but id imagine it would have added to the cost. And from what ive seen so far one of the selling points of this truck will be price.

Right, but on some cars the "B" pillar is part of the rear door, like on the element.

It would take some funky hinges and door latch linkages if they were to try and suicide the doors in their current layout.

If you look at the vertical plastic molding that the seatbelt comes through it is taller than the top of the doorframes, as such it could not be opened and is (to be) indicative of a "B" pillar. See the annotations on the photo below for more details.

I would not be surprised if their non-sanctioned payload and tow capacities in low gear would be double that rating. I had a 1967(?) Toyota truck and could fill it with gravel and drive it away, far beyond it's ratings.

I have no doubt the truck will carry and tow well beyond its stated capability.

What happens when you get it out on the freeway with a 45 mph lower speed limit towing 5000 lbs behind a that tiny little diesel is a completely different story...

I am not saying its a bad truck, in fact it looks really interesting. Just don't trade in your F-150 on it.

I agree. I dont think its a suicide door. Too bad could have been a unique feature.

Builder: I agree 100%. Like a chain a truck is only as strong as its weakest link. People seem to forget that. How many times do you see half tons heaped to the roof with firewood? and the bumper is dragging on the ground. Gotta be safe

How VERY true, and there ARE stupid people that will do exactly that.

I suppose that means that we have to put all the stupid people in the diesel duallys.

I miss the days when a pickup had a vinyl bench seat, rubber floor mats instead of carpeting, and a four speed on the floor.
