I'm pretty sure Sysop is incorrect on the mcrd engine. The 3616 is an interim tier 4 as is it's lower powered brother the 3016 which I have. It has a Mitsubishi engine and the whole tractor is Mitsubishi built. If you want a trouble free non final tier 4 machine, then the 3616 is the one to get. They are in big demand and I'm surprised you found one. It is an excellent machine.

I thought by 2015 the T4 implementation was done. oldpilgrim is correct, if it is pre-tier4 then it is a Mitsu engine. If it is tier4 then it is the mCRD engine. Either are really good engines.

The feel of a machine is easier to adjust to than availability of parts and service, to which there is no adjusting. Testing each machine out is a valid point, but I'd still stick with a brand I can get local parts and support for over a layout variance that I can adjust myself to.

True only if you are an average sized person. Because of my size (6'4' 300+) I make most of my buying decisions based on if I fit in it (Cars, Mowers, tractors). My little Massey is unusually roomy for a little tractor.

I think he won't go wrong with either.. if it were me I would buy based on the tractor I could get the most information about... was it a lemon who traded it etc.

Agree, I wouldn't be afraid of either engine...

Tractordata.com shows that MF has a
Shibaura N843T-F
turbocharged diesel
3-cylinder
liquid-cooled
91.3 ci [1.5 L]

Shibaura is also a very good engine.. Ford has put them in their compact tractors for years.

Good deal. The 3535 is about 1500 pounds more tractor than the other 2 you were looking at. Sounds like a nice setup.
