Mahindra mower spindle

I’m trying to replace the middle spindle on my 60” finishing mower deck and I have the 4 bolts removed, but I can’t seem to remove the pulley from the spindle itself. I see there’s a key, but I’m not sure exactly how to remove all of that to replace the spindle. Please let me know if anyone has any tips and as specific as possible on my next steps.

Picture would help but is there a set screw locking the key or a bolt on the end of the pulley?

It appears that it was a bolt in the end. With that removed you should be able to use a gear puller to pull it off. It really shouldn’t be too bad to get off.

Put PB Blaster all around the top and let it soak overnight. That will make it much easier to pry off.

When you do start prying, do it a little bit at a time, working your way around it (don't keep prying in the same spot)


There should not be anything locking that key in place; shroud be just sitting in there.
