Mahindra back lift

When I turn on my tractor lift goes up but will not come down.

On my Mahindra there is a control knob under the middle of the seat. It controls the speed the 3 pt. goes down. If it is shut or closed (clockwise) the 3 pt. won't go down. Check yours to see if it is closed.

I've got a 3505DI Mahindra and my lift stuck last week, would not go up or down. I'm real interested to see what the outcome of your issue is. I feel fairly sure my problem is because I've not changed my hydraulic fluid and filter and now have almost 500 hours on the tractor. Keep us updated on what happens with yours.

That happened to me a month ago, with a 2*2*2 boulder on the forks.... Not a comfortable feeling. Eventually got it down, but don't know how exactly... Did play with that control knob, but it was not reactive within first hour... Which surprised me. I need to learn why this happens too. It happens on all brand of tractors, as I've seen in the various threads.

Turn the knob counter clockwise, and if no results, remove and inspect , clean and look for rust, etc.

The pressure that the knob exerts determines how much fluid escapes the cyl when the lever is set to down. If you lock the knob down, the 3pt arms will stay up, and is used for transport or to lock in any position.

It didn't work. I haven't changed the filter because i didn't have near enough hours or right tools. Guess I will track tools down and try that next. My trailer is to small to take it in might end up having to borrow a trailor. Thanks
