After going and seeing the 511 yesterday, the dealer advised that the 14GPM pump is a "3 to 1". I probably won't need to switch to 1000rpm as the gearing increase will be sufficient to run it at low rpm anyway. We'll see. Also, brought the frame mounts home with me. Took two mules and a donkey to pick them up and set them in the garage. I'm doing all the set up myself, so I'm gonna be an expert when I'm done (or one sorry puppy). BobG in VA

I ran mine most of the time "just off idle" and it did whatever I wanted,, I would never even think about running that pump at 1000 PTO set and at idle,,,

It does not take alot of rpm's for me to run mine off the tractor. I'd say aroung 1000 to 1200 rpm usually.

By the way, does anyone have a quick attach set up for the bucket? I have used my 12" the large majority of the time, and sometimes because of the time it takes to pull the pin and change the bucket. If so, is it worth it?

Larry, as you may know the 6000 has somewhat more "grunt" at 1200 rpm than most as the redline is only about 2000. I've never had to go above 1800rpm with a 7 ft cutter behind it in "wheel top" height stuff and that's in 4th gear (out of 8). It idles at 850rpm or so. Trust me if the pump was a 1 to 1 ratio, I would be using the 1000 rpm PTO to turn it as it would take 2000 rpm to run at 540 otherwise. BobG in VA who also has about a 1000 pieces/hydraulic stuff to sort and put together as well as the frame mount.

You guys that have the 511 on the 00 series tractors: How well does the three point arms (lower links) swing with the frame mounts in place? It appears that they will be hampered somewhat with the frame mounts there. I called Bradco today and an engineer (Jason) advised that they would be OK and you can hook up CAT 2 stuff (32") but there isn't much "swing" room. Hope the rotary cutter has enough swing once its on there. Also, looks like a pain to do, if you don't take off the rear wheels (since they weigh about 800 lbs each with fluid) but I'm gonna try as Jason said it could be done. He's a decent dude and told me to give him a call on his private extension if I had any more questions. BobG in VA
