2012 Mahindra 4010 HST with approximately 50hrs
According to the manual, High Gear is for transporting the tractor and that's how I have been trying to use it. So far, it works most of the time (I wish I had time to use it everyday, to find a pattern).
Put the tractor in High, try to go, and the tractors falls on its face. I can ease it, ever-so-slightly, and it will get up to speed only on the down-hill or flat ground, but the speed still doesn't max out. If I do get the tractor going in High and hit any type of incline, the tractor will bog way down and speed will reduce to just faster than if the tractor was in medium range. Raising RPM's or letting off the pedal and easing back on does not make a difference. The problem doesn't appear temperature related due to one day it not working in 90 degree weather and the other not working in constant rain and 65 degree weather. I'm not sure if the issue is hitting all the gears because the low and medium don't cruise fast enough for a noticeable difference.
I replaced all the fluids and filters as instructed by the manual and there was no change.
The problem is sporadic and not completely consistent...yet. I have asked the dealer and they keep saying they will call the local rep and ask, but I haven't heard a response in two weeks, with two calls made. I haven't wanted to leave it at the dealer because they have been dishonest about a couple little things. The next closest is approximately 1.5hrs away.
Any Ideas?
