Could it be "cold stitched", i.e. is it a just hole in a cast iron wall ?
Cast iron CAN be welded, or even brazed.

If you decide to replace it figure who it is actually MADE by, e.g. Yanmar, Mitsubishi, etc.
Then you have more options for sources.

Have you tried contacting a Mahindra dealer?

You may also wanna take a look at tractorhouse.com and see what they have to offer under "dismantled machines" at the bottom of the page. Do a search for your model.

I'm curious to know what happened to the engine...

I bought it like that it it had a hole beside the starter 2 inch round hold I think a rod came through it was running the rod was tied to the starter bracket. And the fuel line was cut off to number 3 cylinder that's where hole is Lightning struck it burnt
Harness reside bat to starter now will not crank sprayed with ethane no crank
