Mahindra 2638 third function

I have a Mahindra 2638 with front end loader. I want to add a third function. Judging by the pic of the valve. Can I add couplers here instead of tapping into the up/down or curl/dump?

No, that is the cap for the spools. Inside is ball and springs for detent and such.

Yup. You don't want to take those off. Just return springs and detent balls for the valve spool.

And wanting to tap into the valve itself leads me to believe you are thinking 3rd function and not a diverer. Have you considered a diverter.

They are a little easier to install.

But a 3rd does need to tap the valve......does your valve have a PB port?

IIRC the PB port is on the top of the valve (or maybe the side). Be sure to get the fitting that goes with the PB, otherwise the valve won't work properly after you hook up the new hoses.
