Hi all, I own a 2019 2638hst and to me the front differential seems very noisy. This is while running it in mid range 2 wd . I checked the oil in it and it was ok.
Does anybody else have this issue with their tractor?
Mine "whines" at lower engine RPM's and under load (uphill, or towing something heavy). If I ramp up the RPM's to 1600+ it's not near as noticeable. I think it's inherent to an HST, since everything is run by hydraulics.
don't think a differential is hydraulic-
Also this is one good thing about a manual trans vs hyd- it might bump a little going into gear, but gear drive! Only thing that is hydraulic are the 3pt arms and FEL
My Mahindra requires using Trans-hyd oil in front differential, gear lube might not be good if you live in cold area. Also have you followed the schedule for changing the oil?
