I have a 2006 2615 gear drive with 986 hours. If you do not have a manual, you can probably download one from the Mahindra web site. I still refer to mine on a regular basis.

I found a manual for the Mahindra 2816 Gear online but was never able to locate one for the 2615 – so I ordered a hard copy. It arrived recently and I have been reading through it to make sure I'm developing a good maintenance plan for the tractor in the years to come. I've put about 20 hours on it so far (181 hours total) and am starting to get a good feel for FEL and BH work – though I still find the BH very touchy and must really pay attention to minimize unintentional jerky movements.

You'll get the hang of the backhoe. I have a 3710 on my tractor. For smoothest operation I never run at over 1300 rpm. It works very well at that speed.
